Meet the Founder
Sarah Probst LPC-S
Sarah Probst is a Christian Licensed Mental Health Counselor Supervisor with a passion for helping the Church understand Trauma through a Biblical lens. In the past decade she has founded Pneuma Counseling, Brain Parlor, and most recently Trauma-Informed Christians.
Soon after her birth in Italy, Sarah moved to the US as a toddler and grew up in the New Orleans area until she was displaced to Portland, Oregon as a result of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Since then, Sarah has earned two Master’s Level degrees and studied trauma recovery all over the globe, including an internship in Cambodia with young girls recused from sex trafficking, as well as at the Portland Rescue Mission.
Sarah has a passion for synthesizing Biblical Theology with Clinical Psychology and enjoys speaking engagements where she teaches her curriculum to Ministry Leaders. Her latest project, Trauma-Informed Christians, exists to create online courses to help churches worldwide understand trauma through a Biblical lens.
When she’s not in sessions with clients, Sarah enjoys worship music, Theology and creative outlets including writing and digital content creation. She also loves spending time socially dining out or walking her Maltese pups Barbara and Laverne.
